Matthew had his first check-up at the dentist yesterday with Louise. Louise had an appointment, and had her teeth checked first with Matthew lying down on her lap. The dentist then checked Matthew's teeth while lying in the same position, and said that Matthew had a good set of teeth. He behaved very well, which surprised me as when he went with my Mum he didn't like going, even though it was the same dentist and Matthew didn't have his teeth checked then. As he was good, he was given a sticker - and they have him a Mavis (from Thomas and Friends) sticker as the dentist saw that he had a Thomas top on.
Matthew's not been well this week - he went down with a chill on Tuesday afternoon, complaining he was cold and not wanting his food or drink. He was fine when I saw him at lunchtime, but when I took him home from my Mum's I had to carry him to the car as he didn't want to walk. He wasn't himself at all when he came home, and collapsed on the floor asking to go to bed. We didn't hear anything from him on Tuesday night, and he seemed a little better in himself on Wednesday but still didn't want his food, and developed a fever. He also looked very red in the cheeks. When he got up yesterday morning, though, he was back to his normal self and the temperature and rosy cheeks had disappeared, and Louise was told by the staff in Matthew's nursery today that several of the children had also gone down with a fever this week so he probably picked up something there.
