Matthew has recently started to enjoy playing hide and seek. He plays the game in an unusual way - he tells me where he's going to hide, before I go off to count, and then shouts where he's hiding when I come in to find him. Instead of acknowledging this straight away, I pretend to go round the room looking underneath cushions and behind chairs, which he finds hysterical.
When I hide from him, he tells me where to hide before he starts counting. Sometimes I do as he says, and sometimes I surprise him by hiding somewhere unexpected.
