I told Matthew a bad joke this morning, "Why doesn't the Queen wave with this hand?" (waving my left hand) "Because it's my hand". His reply? "Queen has no hands... (Lightning) McQueen has tyres!"

Matthew put his "Wheels on the bus" jigsaw together on his own correctly today, which is more difficult than some of his others because all the pieces are the same size. Louise was impressed that he wanted to stay upstairs to play in his room for a short while this afternoon though, as I pointed out, we might be struggling in ten year's time to get him out of his bedroom to come and see us! While I was out in the kitchen getting dinner this evening he came out with the packet for his fruit squeezy that he'd finished, opened the cupboard, put the empty packet in the bin, closed the cupboard and walked out of the kitchen and back to the lounge without saying anything. Who needs parents?
