Spider-Matthew

Spider-Matthew
The nursery had a fancy dress day today for Hallowe'en, and Louise had ordered Matthew a Casper ghost costume from Woolworths online after Matthew said he'd like to dress up as a ghost.  He often puts his towel over his head after he's had a bath and pretends to be a ghost and actually does the scary noises very well for his age, so we thought this would be a good choice.

Unfortunately, when Louise checked her online account with Woolworths last week to see when it would be delivered, she saw that the costume was now out of stock even though she had not received any email notification.  Maybe this explains why the chain went bankrupt if Woolworths' high street stores had the same level of service!  As a result, Louise had to order an "emergency" costume last week from a different retailer and pay for fast delivery to make sure it arrived on time.   The one she chose was a black spider costume, complete with black hood and little purple hat.

Matthew liked the costume and tried it on as soon as it arrived last week.  He wore it all day in nursery, and was still in it when he came home this evening.  As I had the day off work, I went with Louise to the nursery to drop him off, and he cried when we left him (this is normal, apparently; he has started crying again ever since he started going to Cylch).  The others did seem excited to see him, though, and one little boy called "Matthew!" when he arrived.  He was all smiles when we went to collect him.  The other children were all dress up, and one was wearing a Dracula costume.
