Chinese New Year

Matthew came home from nursery with a paper Chinese lantern yesterday which they had made to celebrate the Chinese New Year. They are obviously making quite a theme of it, as on Saturday in the car Matthew said to me "It's New Year isn't it Daddy?" and after some questioning it turns out he was talking about the Chinese New Year and must have heard about it at nursery on Friday. Maybe it's because this is the year of the dragon - the national emblem of Wales! Edit 29/1/12: He also had Chinese food at Cylch on both Wednesday and Thursday last week, and came home from Nursery with a red dragon picture. They really do like the Chinese New Year in these places, don't they?!
