Last injections

Matthew had his last course of pre-school injections today - he shouldn't need any more until he is 14. He had an appointment for 10:50am but was kept waiting for an hour; apparently there were lots of babies having injections there and Matthew was very good while he was waiting (I was in work).  Louise and my mum took him, as he was due to go to mum's house afterwards.  He didn't cry during the injections, which he had to have in both arms, though he told me this afternoon that one arm hurt a bit.  The nurse gave him a certificate for being a good boy, which is something we've never had before.

Louise was due to take Matthew to see the health visitor at the same time but the health visitor had left a message to say she didn't need to go in as they were so busy.  This would have been Matthew's last scheduled health visitor appointment, so unless we ask to see a health visitor now he won't need to again until he starts school.

Today's injections were for DTap / IPV (Diptheria, Tetanus, acellular Pertussis, Inactivated Polio Vaccine booster) and 2nd MMR vaccine against Measles, Mumps and Rubella.

Louise had a look at the centiles in Matthew's Child Health Record book today and if he is indeed 104cm, which is what we've measured, he's now on the top centile so is very tall for his age.
